El Cajon
El Cahon is an inland rural residential town. It is the home to dozens of current and retired major leage baseball players, and and perhaps that is due to the ample private lots and privacy that these rolling hillside areas lend themselves to. It is a bit noticably warmer than the downtown coastal areas, and that translates to sunny weather most of the time for it's residents. El Cahon residents like to spread out, and many of the homes are spacious with lots that possess views.

Santee
Santee is infamous for possesing one of the few remaining Drive-In movie theatres which is still actively showing movies today. Double Features on multiple screens, and during the weekend day the areas become home to the local swap meet. Santee is a fine rural community with a culturally diverse make up of residents. Home prices are on the lower range, and the town is flanked by a series or large park and lakes to cool off in during the summer heat. gNestled between gently rolling hills and located near several refreshing lakes. There has been a significant level of recent development commerical development that has added to the local commerce and modernization of the are. Mutiple unit residential properites, a significant number of senior living properites have also come to light in the past recent years.

Alpine
Rolling hills, and large desirable homes both older vintage and bran new structures are widespread throughout Alpine. The further east one travels, the more rural, coutry feel and the more you will see cowboy boots and pickup truck. The sizes of most of the homes are larger than that of other towns to it's west and there are a wide variety of mature trees that beautifully checker the countryside.
Spring Valley
Spring Valley's namesake is from the fresh springs that run underground. This area is well east of San Diego and its temperatures rise in the 90's in the summer months. The Valley is decorated with groves of fruit trees that take advantage of the nearly uninterrupted sunshine the area receives. The town is occupied by a mix of residents that tend to the duties working the land and urban professional that enjoy the countryside however carry professional careers. It makes for a nice mix of folks that all are proud of the tight knit community that they call home. Back to Communities List
La Mesa
Centrally located, La Mesa California offers a nice town-feel that is desirable for residents or all types. It is truly a quaint area with charming neighborhood and a desirable downtown area lined with antique shops, and cafes. It has been a tradition that on Thursday evenings there is a regular gathering of classic and antique cars that line up along the streets of downtown La Mesa all summer long. Local musicians can be hear through the venues in the evening and residents gather and enjoy the friendly nature of this small town. Homes range from very small affordable cottages, to intermediate priced tract homes from the 1970's to 1990's. Some areas have custom built homes that are lavish and treasured.
